Vendor Opportunities

The Marketplace of Stories welcomes authors, artists, makers, creatives, entrepreneurs, small businesses, community organizations, food vendors, and other independent vendors looking to showcase their work and connect with the community.

We welcome a wide range of vendors offering books, art, handmade and original products, retail products, services, creative work, food or beverages, community resources, and other offerings that fit the Marketplace experience. Your registration should clearly describe what you plan to sell, showcase, or provide.

Your registration includes your selected vendor table, a public Vendor Directory profile, access to your personalized Vendor Hub, and a custom promotional package with graphics and social media resources to help you promote your participation.

Yes. Tables are selected on a first come, first served basis using the interactive floor plan. You can click an available table to review its type, price, and available features before selecting it.

Once you select an available table, it will be temporarily reserved while you complete your registration. If the hold expires before you finish, the table may become available for another vendor.

Vendor registrations are intended for the business or organization identified on the registration. If you are planning a collaborative or shared setup involving multiple businesses, contact us at hello@storiesandsweets.ca before registering.

Yes. Vendors selling food or beverages must select a space marked Food on the floor plan. Tables that are not designated for food or beverage vendors cannot be used for food sales.

Food vendors must complete the required Ottawa Public Health Special Event and Farmers' Market Vendor Form and bring the completed form with them on event day. Additional requirements shown during registration must also be followed.

Yes. If your setup requires electricity, select a table identified as having electrical access. Electricity should not be assumed to be available at other tables, so your table selection must match your setup requirements.

Yes, at spaces that permit interactive use. Tables marked for interactive setups can accommodate a display, activity, demonstration, or experience that may require more than a traditional table setup. Select an eligible table if your setup will be interactive.

Speaker add-ons are available during registration while programming capacity remains available.

Speaker opportunities are limited by the Marketplace programming schedule and are available on a first come, first served basis while capacity remains. The registration page automatically reflects the speaker options that are still available.

Speaker packages are subject to remaining programming capacity. If you have already registered and would like to inquire about adding a presentation, contact hello@storiesandsweets.ca. Availability is not guaranteed.

The public-facing information you provide during registration may be used for your Vendor Directory profile and Marketplace promotion. This can include your public business name, vendor category, business description, products or services description, website or social media links, public business contact information, and promotional images you provide. Your private registration contact information is not intended for the public Vendor Directory unless you specifically provide it as public business information.

After you submit your registration, you will be directed through the payment process for your selected table and any applicable add-ons. Your table is not officially confirmed until the required payment has been successfully completed.

Your registration is officially confirmed after your registration and payment have been successfully completed. Once confirmed, you will receive your booking information and access to your personalized Vendor Hub.

Vendor registrations are non-refundable. Please review your table selection, speaker add-ons, and registration information carefully before completing payment.

If vendor spaces are unavailable, you may be able to join the Marketplace waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee that a vendor space will become available.
